Air India Takes A Savage Dig At IndiGo Over Passenger Assault Incident, Gets Trolled Back Badly

There are many situations that we experience in our traveling through flight journeys, sometimes there’ll be a delay in flights due to technical issues, sometimes due to weather conditions, earlier, there was an incident in which the luggage of the passenger got reached another part of the country, unlike where he is going.

Now, Indigo has faced the wrath of people once again as one of its staff indulged in an ugly fight with the 53-Year-Old passenger. The video of the incident has surfaced the Internet garnering huge attention from people including the concerned ministers.

The viral video which showed IndiGo’s way of handling passengers has created a huge uproar on social media. The video became viral in no time and soon, people slammed the airlines for showing no sensitivity towards its customers. IndiGo Airlines received a lot of anger on all social media platforms and soon, even others started taking potshots at it.

The scuffle between the passenger and the staffer took place on October 15 when the former was boarding a shuttle to his flight and was barred from doing so by the staffer. With IndiGo facing flak over the assault incident, its rival Air India today took an apparent dig at the country’s leading private carrier, promising “Unbeatable Service”.

When it comes to trolling rival brands, Twitter is indeed the best platform. As soon as anti-IndiGo tweets started trending, Air India started its trolling campaign. First, they tweeted, “We raise our hands only to do Namaste”.

Then, they tweeted an ad that read “Unbeatable service”. Indirectly, they meant that their staff doesn’t beat passengers.

After Indigo incident went viral, the airline’s rival Jet Airways found themselves dragged into the controversy as a fake picture masquerading as a Jet Airways’ campaign started doing rounds on the Internet.

As it turns out, the ad was a fake. Taking to their official Twitter account, Jet Airways was quick to issue a clarification.

Air India deleted both the tweets, but till then, people had already noted them down. Here’s how they started having fun with this brand-war. They even trolled Air India.

Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju has sought an independent inquiry into the incident from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. IndiGo has also written to the ministry apologizing for the incident and admitting that it was at fault.
