Amit Shah Make BOLD Statements Over Unemployment, Says ‘Sell Pakoras Than To Be Unemployed’
‘Unemployment’ – It is one of the biggest problems in India where lakhs of people starve for jobs and work so hard to get placed in a company, especially Engineers and MBAs. It is not because those countrymen don’t have skills, it is due to our Educational system. Are you one of the unemployed student? Then you must read this article definitely.
There are many reasons for unemployment in our country. Each and every party promises that they would change the complete educational system before elections and does nothing much. It mainly depends on our government and our ministers.
Did you listen to the recent speech of Amit Shah at Rajya Sabha?
If you are unaware, we would like to share something about it. BJP President Amit Shah, in his maiden speech in Rajya Sabha, suggested the unemployed youth of our nation to stop waiting for the opportunities, and sell pakoras instead. He said, “I think it is better to be a laborer or sell ‘pakoras‘ than to be unemployed. There is no shame in selling ‘pakoras.”
Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi was present at the time this iconic statement was made. Shah was responding to the Congress’s recent jibes at PM Modi, after the latter, in a TV interview, said that “if a person sells ‘pakoras’ and takes home Rs 200 every evening, will it be considered as an employment or not?”
Countering to Shah’s statement, the Congress slammed the government on job creation and said, if selling ‘pakoras’ was a job, then begging should also be recognized as employment. Watching all this, a few graduate students have taken the speech to seriously who actually stepped out in their convocation robes to sell pakoras.
The young students took his statements to heart and decided to mock in their style. The young students sold ‘ Modi Pakodas’, ‘Amit Shah Pakoda’ and ‘Dr. Yeddy Pakodas’, a reference to Karnataka BJP chief Yeddyurappa, to those passing by, including the BJP workers and visitors on their way to the rally.
Former finance minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram tore into the Centre, saying that “real job creation” was “not happening yet.” Shah attacked the Congress over unemployment, wondering that since the issue had persisted after “55 years of your rule, whose fault is it? This problem didn’t suddenly emerge,” he charged.
The BJP chief counted the Modi-led government’s Jan Dhan Yojana as one of its major successes. He said that before the BJP came to power, most families did not have “even one bank account.” In his speech, Shah defended the Goods and Services Tax (GST) and assured that once the initial hiccups were over, it would benefit the country.
However, he took exception to the Congress referring to the GST as ‘Gabbar Singh Tax’. “Gabbar Singh was a Hindi film dacoit. How can you call a legal tax dacoity,” he questioned. He credited the Centre with handling the “crucial” Kashmir issue “very well.”
On a personal note, Amit Shah is right! Selling Pakoras is not a shameful job. But the question is, ‘Does it do justice to the degrees of Engineers and MBAs who spent lakhs over their education to ultimately sell pakoras on streets? What do you say, guys?
