Android 7.0 Nougat Public Release Tipped For August 5 Alongside Upgraded Camera App
News, Technology: On July 19th, Google released its final preview build of Android Nougat, which raised numerous buzzes about the launch of its full version. However, a presently leaked source is indicating that the model is completely ready for hitting the marketplace and Google is scheduling to introduce it on 5th of this month. The leak also reveals that Nexus 5 users won’t get the update.
Evan Blass claims that the public release will come alongside the security patch release on August 5. This is rather early compared to Google’s traditional time frame of a September-October release, where it also unveils the new Nexus device. Whether or not Google advances the rumoured HTC ‘Marlin’ Nexus device launch as well, remains to be seen.
Blass also said that Nexus 5 owners won’t get the update. The Nexus 5 smartphone has long passed its 18 months update cycle, and it seems fair that Google is pulling support.
The manual exposure controls coming to Google’s Camera app will give users more control over how the pictures they take turn out. With the new feature, some users may no longer need to install third-party apps and instead rely on the stock Camera app once Android 7.0 Nougat rolls out.
New Android Nougat 7.0 OS Features
According to the new updates, Android 7.0 Nougat is assured to come up with massive improvisations and few new features. If we go with the latest leak about the version, it is rumored to feature an upgraded Camera app. This updated camera app will have two new features like an advanced Grid options and the revitalization of the manual exposure mode, which was missed in earlier models. The app is also expected to support multi-window features for a fine user experience.
Apart from the last grid frame of 3*3, this newly upgraded camera app will allow the users to choose three variants like 4×4 frame, a Golden Ratio, and the Square Grid which is designed for social apps. Alternatively, the much-missed manual exposure mode will make a super comeback in this version.
Presently, the app will be compatible with models like Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Pixel C devices, and General Mobile 4G Android One gadgets. However, it will soon be launching for other models.
