Apple Refuses Bypass for iPhone password Claims by Hacker
As the researcher had claimed that there was a flaw with the iPhone passcode and has also researched a method to crack the iPhone passcode but the Multinational technology company Apple disproved iPhone Passcode Bypass Claims by Hacker Matthew Hickey and affirmed
that it was the result of wrong testing. So now the company has decided to bring the controversial USB Restricted Mode to iPhone and iPad devices with the rollout of iOS 12 by the end of this year. With this mode on, if the iPhone has not been unlocked in an hour then this toggle in the settings will cut off communication by using the USB port, in the same way, Apple will able to prevent the use of brute-force attacks to guess the passcode and security agencies to crack a locked iPhone.
The company said on bringi
ng the USB Restricted Mode to iPhone and iPad devices, that it will help to protect all consumers and especially in those countries where phones are acquired by police and by criminals with extensive resources and this technique will also help to stop further spread of the attack. However, a researcher has disclosed about this method on twitter that how the iPhone’s passcode could be bypassed with a simple hack and the researcher even posted a video 2hich shows the process to crack iPhone passcode. According to this discovery of error present in the iOS, there is the number of devices which on this version of iOS are equally unprotected whether it is an iPhone and an iPad.
when the researcher posted about this hack, the day after that brute-force attacked on Twitter and regarding this the hacker claimed a correction that iPhone’s Secure Enclave Processor appeared to register fewer PINs than last thought due to this instances of pocket dialing and/ or overly fast inputs. Hickey also explained to ZDNet that When the codes would be sent to the phone it will appear that 20 and more are entered but in reality, there are only four or five pins to be checked.
A Hacker Matthew Hickey also stated in a statement that is given to ZDNet that he was responded to his claim by the Apple spokesperson Michele Wyman. no details have given by the company about why it disputes the findings.
