Apple To Offer 200GB Of Free Storage On iCloud Before The Launch Of 2018 iPhone
Wait next month, Apple is ready to launch its latest range of smartphones in the iPhone 2018 category. With just a few weeks left out before the iPhone refresh, there are reports from many users that the company is coming promotional offer from the tech giant with a promise of 200GB of free iCloud storage for a total period of two months. But this kind of offer may be available very soon in the US only, especially for the customers of the 4 wireless operators there. They are T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint. Moreover, the offers seem to be valid for new customers and not for those people who are currently availing iCloud’s premium subscription.
A thread available on Reddit shows this claim about the presence of this unannounced development from the Apple company. As for now, the offer appears to be available for a limited period of time and users will be charged for the service with the regular fees of USD 2.99 (approx. Rs. 200) after the offer of two months ends, according to the screenshot acquired from The Verge. But from the company side, there is no such announcement or confirmation about such an offer and might do such at the time of the launch of iPhone 2018 which will give users an extra reason to consider buying from the three-upcoming variants.
As of now, Apple offers 5GB of free iCloud storage for every device owner of the company. The paid plan of 50GB storage comes with a price of USD 0.99 (Rs. 75 in India), the one which comes with 200GB storage can be availed with price of USD 2.99 (Rs. 219 in India) and the top-end option with 2TB of storage comes at a price of USD 9.99 (Rs. 749 in India).
Apple had introduced back in May this year, totally free one-month iCloud storage trials along with all three of its offerings, so that it can boost cloud storage trend in present customers. The most notable aspect is that the plans get automatically renewed after the 30-day window ends so that the user will have to discontinue manually from their side or end up paying the monthly fees for the facility of selected storage plan.
There is a trend of cloud storage around the world both for using applications online and file storage with support for laptops, phones and tabs or pads. There are different applications to serve the purpose.
