Asaram Asked A Female Reporter To Sleep With Him To Have Tension-free Sleep
The verdict of a lifetime in jail slapped on self-styled godman Asaram for raping a 16-year-old girl has turned the spotlight on two other women who have charged the 77-year-old preacher with sexual assault and are awaiting justice. The sisters, based in Surat, had alleged they were raped and illegally confined by Asaram and his son Narayan Sai. But rape is not the only charge against Asaram. He is also facing prosecution in a Rs 700-crore land grab case of 2000 in Madhya Pradesh. The case pertains to 200 acres of land in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh.
Meanwhile, the video of sting operation carried out by news channel Aaj Tak in 2010 has gone viral once again. In this video Asaram is seen asking a female reporter to sleep with him.
As part of sting operation, Aaj Tak reporter with a fake ID stating that she is an NRI approached Asaram. She stated that she is trying to escape the dragnet of the law enforcing agencies of America in some fraud cases.
Asaram had absolutely no problem in providing shelter to a person who had confessed to her crime, the channel claimed. In this video he said, ““You need not worry here. Even chief ministers come to me to bow their head. There is no need to worry.”
He further asked her not share the purpose of her visit to anyone and added that no one else needed to know about her except baba. When female reporter refused to accompany him for a boatride in the evening Asaram was miffed.
Then in the evening Asaram called reporter on the roof and said that he will make arrangement for her to get “good sleep”. “So that you get good sleep, I will do something tonight.” He then went on to add, “You sleep with me…ok? You will have tension-free sleep.”
