Assistant Teacher Dies Of Heart Attack While On Poll Duty In Chhattisgarh
An assistant teacher died of a heart attack today while he was on his poll duty in the district of Kanker in Chhattisgarh.
Assistant Teacher Tukalu Ram Nareti works in a government owned school, he was assigned as a polling officer at a polling booth in Antagarh Area of the Kanker Lok Sabha Constituency.
Earlier this morning, the assistant teacher said that he had chest pain and he fell unconscious at the polling station afterwards.
Tukalu Ram was rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared as dead upon arrival.
An official said that his body has been sent for an autopsy.
The polling started after 7 AM in Chhattisgarh’s 3 Lok Sabha Seats, which are Mahasamund, Kanker, and Rajnandagaon, all of them are in the 2nd phase of polling.
