Australian Man Who Killed His Wife Gets 9 Years In Prison With Non-Parole Of 6 Years
Citizens of Australia were mad over the sentence of convicted killer Borce Ristevski. He was handed down a maximum of 9 years in prison for killing Karen, his wife, Broce was also handed down a non-parole period of 6 years.
Borce Ristevski stood with his hands clasped in front of him as the sentence was handed down, before being led away by the cops. Which means he could be eligible for parole in 5 years and could be out from prison in just 4 and a half years.
Borce Ristevski is from Melbourne, Australia.
The Department of Public Prosecutions is currently looking at the sentence that was handed down to Borce and has 28 days to launch an appeal.
Borce was charged with murder 2 years ago, he was pleaded guilty to manslaughter last month after Justice Beale ruled murderous intent could not be proved.
During the sentencing of Borce, Justice Beale could not really determine whether the offending was in the mid or upper range.
Borce did not reveal how his wife passed away.
The sentence that was given to Borce is the average sentence that is given to those who plead guilty for manslaughter.
Stephen, the brother of Karen was seen speaking with the reporters who were outside of the Supreme Court yesterday, he said: “we didn’t get justice today at all.”
He added, “As a society, at some stage, we will – in regards to domestic violence – make a stand. Again, it wasn’t today as all.”
Karen disappeared from their house in Avondale Heights on June 29, 2016. Her skeletal remains were found dumped in an isolated area 8 months after she went missing.
Borce denied that he was involved in the killing of Karen for almost 3 years, displaying what the Judge of the case described as “deceitful conduct” that showed a lack of remorse as Borce played “the part of the innocent grieving widower”.
