A CCTV footage of a chain snatcher striking an elderly couple in broad daylight in the hi-tech city of Hyderabad has come to fore. The footage, which is now being circulated on social media, shows an elderly woman walking on the streets of a residential colony with her husband while being closely trailed by a man. The man is then seen snatching the old lady’s chain from behind and running away with the piece of jewellery. The lady’s husband tried to give chase but fell down. The snatcher, however, managed to flee in a vehicle.

That is so sad to see that the old man couldn’t help and just fell off the road. He shouted for help but at that particular moment, it was a deserted lane and so there was nobody to help him out.

Such kind of cases are repeatedly been seen in Hyderabad where women are robbed of their chains right outside their homes or on a busy street. Police are advising the people to be more careful of chain snatchers when they are moving out on the road.
