A blast was reported Today in Naya Bazar area of Delhi. According to initial reports, one person was killed and, at least, five injured severely in the explosion in Naya Bazar. Naya Bazar is located in Chandni Chowk, which is one of the crowded places in Delhi.

The reason behind the explosion in Naya Bazar is yet to be ascertained. Reports have said that the explosion could be due to a cylinder blast, while some have said that it happened due to firecrackers. Here is the CCTV footage of blast in Naya Bazar.

Preliminary probe revealed that the man, killed in the explosion, was carrying a bag containing explosive material. He was reportedly smoking when the blast occurred.

Delhi Police’s anti-terror wing and personnel from its special cell have arrived at the spot. The crime and forensic teams have also reached the site of the blast and picked up some samples.
