Chetan Bhagat Takes A Break From Writing To Develop Electric Cars And Twitter Celebrated Like It’s Diwali
Chetan Bhagat, popular Indian author has always been a target of Twitter trolls. Whether he asks for book reviews, or whether he calls Twitter a graveyard filled with Bullies, Twitterati never spares him.
He may not have a great storyline to intrigue his readers, but he definitely knows all the marketing gimmicks to grab the attention of even the non-readers.
From his online polls to understanding politics or clever advertising asking people to tweet him photos of them with his latest book — the writer has garnered quite a lot of attention from Twitter users.
This time, Chetan is trying to do “something smarter” by his new tweet declaring his ‘shift from writing to setting up an electronic car project’ that’s got Twitterati worked up.
Yes, Chetan Bhagat has decided to take a break from writing. Well, he is going back to his roots. Being a mechanical engineer, he is stepping into the automobile industry and would be making electric cars. He will be soon setting up an electric car project.
This is what he tweeted:
Turning gears. Moving from writing to setting up an electric car project. Always a mechanical engineer 🙂 #TimeToGetSmarter

As soon as the 42-year-old IIT Delhi-graduate declared himself as “always a mechanical engineer”, Twitter burst with reactions, from people known to make light of almost any situation.
While a lot of people trolled him and said that finally the “three mistakes of my life” is complete and warned him that he will not be able to make a movie out of this project, many wished him luck.
Here are some of the funniest tweets:

Chetan has given his followers enough reasons to make fun of him. It’s like he invites controversies through 140 characters. That’s the power of digital media.
