CISF Seize 9.9 Kilograms Of Gold Worth Rs. 3 Crores From An AC-Technician At The Trivandrum International Airport

On Tuesday, the CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) arrested an AC-Technician at the Trivandrum International Airport and seized 9.9 kilograms of gold that are worth around Rs. 3 Crores.

The arrested man has been identified as Annesh Kumar, the AC-Technician that works for the MJ Property Maintenance Service Private Limited.

ASI Vikas Raj was assigned at the staff gate of the international airport, he suspected the technician of body-frisking but he ignored his call and walked directly inside the terminal building.

When Annesh was coming out, he dropped something in a garbage can.

The police then searched him and recovered 3.6 kilograms of gold from him, it was wrapped in black tape.

After checking out the garbage can, the CISF recovered 3.15 kilograms of gold.

When questioned, Annesh said that he also dropped 3.15 kilograms of gold in a garbage can that is located at aerobridge-25.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Annesh Kumar got the gold from a passenger who arrived from Dubai through an Emirates Flight.

He said that the packages were handed to him at the aerobridge-25.

He added that he was supposed to give the 9.9 kilograms of gold to the passenger who was waiting outside the airport.

Annesh Kumar was then handed over to the customs officials of the international airport along with the gold.

The police said that a probe has been launched for the incident.
