Civil Services Examination (CSE) Upper Age Limit Is 32: Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh – Just after Government announced civil services allocation list for selected candidates, UPSC Civil Services Examinations 2018 Cut Off Date, Upper Age Limit has been fixed by centre today. This piece of knowledge was passed by Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh in Rajya Sabha at the beginning of August.

After conducting prelims examinations on June 3, 2018, on official website www.upsconline.nic.in and www.upsc.gov.in, On July 15, 2018, UPSC Civil Services Prelims Result 2018 were announced.

In the exact statement, besides latest guidelines issued by Department of Personnel and Training (DoP&T), Jitendra Singh said “The upper age limit as on 01.08.2018 for Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2018 is 32 years. This upper-age limit is relaxable for reserved category candidates.”

Talking in-depth and precisely on the issue, Singh added “As per the guidelines issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T) on a crucial date for determining age limits for the competitive examination conducted in parts by the UPSC/SSC vide OM No. AB.14017/70/87-Estt.(RR) dated 14th July 1988, the cut-off date for the Civil Services Examination is decided.”

IAS (Indian Administrative Officer) Examination is the most prestigious written test conducted by Union Public Services Commission as a part of Civil Services Exams. Besides, Civil Services, UPSC also conducts CDS (Combined Defence Services) Part I and Part II, Indian Engineering Services (IES), CISF AC (Exe) LDCE, NDA and NA (National Defence Academy and Naval Academy), IES/ ISS, CFFE, CAPF – AC, ITS, IRPS, IRAS, IRTS, CMS, IDAS, IRS, IAAS, IP&TAFS, IFS – Forest, IPS, IFS (Indian Foreign Services) and IAS.

200 Marks questions will be asked in Civil Services Prelims Exams Paper I from major sections like – General Science, General Issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change, Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues etc.

Similarly, 200 marks questions for UPSC Prelims Paper II will contain questions from topics – Basic Numeracy, General Mental Ability, Decision-Making and Problem-Solving, Logical Reasoning and Analytical Ability, Interpersonal Skill Including Communication Skills, Comprehension.
