Coach of Madhurai Express Derailed at Khandala

Recent news came up from Mumbai where the sleeper class coach of the Madhurai Express derailed at Khandala railway station. The train was traveling between the route of Mumbai – Pune.

 

 

Good news came up from the spot of the incident is that nobody was injured during the derail of the Madhurai express. However, apart from this due to this incident it results in the cancellation of four trains and diversion of many other trains.

The trains which were canceled due to the incident of the derailing of Madhurai express, many passengers faced trouble and inconvenience.

The incident was occurred early morning at 2.44 am. When the seating cum luggage car of the Madhurai express derails. The train was derailed while entering platform no. 1 of the Khandala railway station.

As the train was entering into the platform, so the train was moving at deficient speed. Due to the low speed of the train, no passenger was injured during the incident.

 

 

Statement of Senior Official

The senior official of the central railway said Khandala railway station is located at the distance of 123 km from the Mumbai station. Soon after getting the news of derailment of Madhurai express, an accident relief train reached to the spot of the incident where the train derails.

Madhurai express resumes the journey at 6:00 am. The passengers of the affected coach were shifted to adjoining coaches. After the train was reached Pune, a replacement coach was attached to the train.

Madhurai express departed from Pune at 8:00 am. Owing to the derailment four trains were canceled today. The canceled trains are Karjat-Pune-Karjat passenger, CSMT-Pune-CSMT intercity express, Pune-CSMT-Pune Sinhagad Express and Pune-CSMT-Pune Pragati express.

Apart from this Bhusaval-Pune express has been diverted to another route via the Manmad-Daund route.
Railway officials said the cause of the derailment would be cleared only after an inquiry.

Now the big question mark arises from the incident, too much of train derailment in India. What is the railway minister doing?

 

 

The fact is India has to focus on our present railway system and passengers security rather than introducing the bullet trains in India.
