Its Official! Coldplay Is All Set To Do Event In India And Here’s How You Can Avail Ticket For Free!

Coldplay, the British Rockband is all set to perform its first concert in Mumbai, India on November 19th. This rock band is a part of Global Citizen Festival, which also features popular music director AR Rahman along with Bollywood actor Aamir Khan. The event is all set to promote ending poverty across the globe.

“On Monday we’re so excited to be announcing that on World Toilet Day – November 19th – we’re hosting the first-ever Global Citizen Festival in India, with an incredible lineup of international and Indian headliners, including Coldplay!”, read a post on the official website of Global Citizen, spearheaded by Coldplay’s Chris Martin.

Maharashtra BJP MP, Poonam Mahajan said on Twitter that the government is “delighted to be associated with this initiative.”

People are absolutely losing it over unbelievable ticket prices of Coldplay’s concert in India. Many reports speak the tickets are going to cost you anything between Rs 25,000 and Rs 5 lakh. There are many people who are eagerly waiting for the event but their monthly salary might be even less when compared with the lowest price of the ticket. This is basically a charity event and those high prices are for a noble cause to eradicate poverty by 2030.

But as this news went viral in social media, the organisers of Global Citizen took their time to officially announce the news on their twitter. On announcing it’s first event in India, “@coldplay headline the 1st #GlobalCitizen Festival in India on 11/19! Tix are FREE by taking action,” Global Citizen tweeted from its official handle.

“Starting Monday, tickets to the Global Citizen Festival in India can be earned through the new platform by signing up to become a Global Citizen and completing the festival’s action campaigns at GlobalCitizen.IN. In its first year, Global Citizen India will offer a wide cross-section of content and actions focused on creating meaningful impacts in the areas of education, equality, and clean water and sanitation,” they wrote on their website.
