David Warner Is Working As A Construction Worker After The Ban
The former vice-captain of the Australian cricket team has been keeping a low profile since it emerged he played a key role in the ball tampering scandal in South Africa last month.
Warner and former captain Steve Smith have been banned from international and domestic cricket for a year while fellow player Cameron Bancroft was exiled for nine months after they were caught using sandpaper to rough up a ball. Each has apologised and accepted the bans.
But David Warner has plenty to keep him busy, trading in his cricket bat for a drill and hard hat. Recently Australian cricket vice captain, David Warner was busy at work on the building site of his under-development mansion, located in the beachside Sydney suburb of Maroubra.
Warner’s wife Candice shared a video of her husband’s new project on Instagram where he was seen using a drill at their under-construction luxury family home. The Australian cricketer was all smiles as he got to work, sporting a hard hat that read ‘Project Manager’ and ‘Apprentice Celebrity’.
Candice also shared a photograph on her Instagram account showing the couple’s daughters -Ivy Mae and Indi Rae posing at the construction site. “A couple of cuties on site this morning checking out the progress of their bedrooms,’ she captioned the photo on Instagram, also adding the hashtag ‘#dreamhome.’
The couple are building a $10 million mansion on a block of blue ribbon land overlooking Lurline Bay, which was purchased by David and Candice for $4 million in 2015,
The family of four are currently living in a nearby Maroubra home they purchased for $2.5 million in March 2017 as they continue to build their dream five-storey home.
