Police Report: On Sunday evening, Akibuddin, a 40-year-old employee of a Delhi Transport Corporation was killed in front of his 5-year-old son in the New Usmanpur area, New Delhi.

The police said that Akibuddin was shot dead by 11:45 PM on Sunday.

40-year-old Akibuddin was with his sister and his 5-year-old son when the incident happened, the police added that they were on their way home.

After 40-year-old Akibuddin was shot, his 5-year-old son ran to their house and informed their family members about the incident.

The sister of Akibuddin said that there were 5 men who were waiting for Akibuddin to return home, she added that the mother of the 5 men was also present with them.

Rehmat, the sister of 40-year-old Akibuddin said, “As soon as we reached home, five men were standing outside our home waiting for us. Seeing my brother they started shooting at him. The mother of the assailants was also present at the time of the incident.”

Preliminary investigations suggest that Akibuddin was killed due to personal enmity as all the accused men are known to their family.

The police have launched a probe for the murder of 40-year-old Akibuddin.
