Deputy Minister officials to speedup Mission Bhagiratha Works in Warangal

Warangal: Deputy Cheif Minister of Telangana Kadiam Srihari has ordered concerned officers to speedup the Mission Bhairatha project works to enable supply of driniking water to each and every village of erstwhile Warangal district by April 15 of this year.

 

He also set deadline for them to complete intra-village works by June 30 in the whole district and for GWMC limits and Bhupalpally he set the target of July 31 for completetion of works.

The Minister also conducted a review meeting with several officials to discuss on projects like Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya and many other such schemes in Hanamkonda here on Friday.

 

Srihari asked the officers to focuss Warangal specially over other districts for Mission Bhagiratha. With the view of coming summer, when people face severe water problems, he asked the officers to complete and avail water for every household of Jangaon district by April 30 as a deadline.

And regarding Parkal town, during the meeting, Warangal Rural Collector M Haritha said that the town people will avail water by March 31.

And the Collector of Bhupalpally Amoy Kumar said that they will do best to be able to supply water to all villages in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district by the date of April 15.

Warangal Urban Joint Collector Dayanand said that all villages of the district will get bulk water by April 15.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister Srihari was not satisfied with the officials for not providing complete information regarding ongoing Mission Kakatiya works and directed all the Collectors to keep an eye over ongoing works on a regular basis. He was also angry over AEs, DEs and EEs for not providing crystal clear idea about the location of tanks that were taken up for renovation under the Mission Kakatiya. He also ordered the Collectors to inform the government regarding officials in engineering department for not performing well over the projects.

MLA of Palakurthy Errabelli Dayakar Rao and Tribal Welfare Minister namely A Chandulal also were very angry over the engineering officials for the very slow progress or no progress regarding the renovation of all tanks. They were also directed to complete tender process by the date of March 31 and complete all the works by the date of July 31. Dayakar Rao was also upset over the SE for Mission Kakatiya, namely, Prasad, for ongoing delay in works.

The Zilla Parishad Chairperson Gaddala Padma, Government Whip Bodikunti Venkateshwarlu, MLAs Vinay Bhaskar, Mayor N Nareneder, Mission Bhagiratha Engineer in Chief Surender Reddy and many others were present at the meeting.

So, the Minister is very much optimistic regarding the completetion of all project works very soon according to the set deadlines and will cater to the general public this summer without any troubles and problems.
