Doctors Treat Dead Women for 3 Days Claiming Huge Bills, Collector Orders Probe

Doctors of Omni Hospital, Kurnool treat a dead women for three days and later pronounced her as dead. This appalling incident took place in Kurnool of Andhra Pradesh state where sources report that Omni Hospital doctors have drew out a bill of Rs. 1 lakh from the kins and close aids of the deceased.

District collector of Kurnool has ordered a probe into this issue after being ascertained with the unethical practice of Omni Hospital at Budhawarapet. Deceased Suvarthamma’s brother alleged and complained with the District Medical and Health Officer U. Raja Subba Rao and Kurnool Revenue Divisional Officer L. Raghu Babu that his sister of Chintakommadinne in Allagadda mandal met with a road accident and was being treated dead for three days by the hospital.

Relatives of Suvarthamma claimed that doctor’s made false promises when the deceased was admitted to ICU stating her condition as better for initial three days and later shifted to the general ward reporting they are helpless. Brother of Chennaih noticing changes in Suvarthamma’s eyes and limbs on August 24 night and informed the nurses and was discovered to be dead. While the doctor took her into the ICU and started enacting as treating her and her condition to be getting better than earlier.

Responding to the allegements of  District Collector Ch. Vijaya Mohan ordered probe with a committee headed by Joint Collector having other five officials as its members.
