During PM Modi’s Midnapore Rally, Tent Collapses, Many Injured

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a farmer’s welfare rally in West Midnapore district of West Bengal. Meanwhile, A temporary tent suddenly falls down when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing his rally in West Bengal’s Midnapore, As per the police, At least 20 people got injured in the tent collapsing.
According to the officials, The tent was fabricated next to the main entrance of the rally venue to cover people from the rain.
Besides this, PM Modi appealed, asking people to get off the stage and the poles. “Those who have climbed up, please get down, all of you….please climb down. Those standing up there, please get down. Don’t run,”

According to the officials, people who got injured in the tent collapsing incident have been taken in the hospital for the treatment and the state local unit of BJP, PM Modi’s personal staff including his personal doctor and SPG person swung into action to help the injured people and after addressing the rally in Midnapore, PM Modi went to hospital to meet injured people.

As per the sources, PM Rally in Midnapore has been held regarding upcoming election 2019. During this rally, PM Modi briefed about how farmers have benefitted following the Union government’s decision to make sure 150 percent MSP for farmers for their Kharif crops. However, in the farmer’s rally, the Bjp in the state has been trying to collect huge crowds.
During this rally, About a counter-rally on the same ground is also announced by the Trinamool Congress.
In order to this the state BJP chief Dilip Ghosh said, “Generally, the opposition parties organize counter-rallies. But in the case of West Bengal, it is just the opposite, the ruling party will be holding counter-rallies. It is good that the Trinamool is following us wherever we go.”

In the last Lok Sabha elections, The BJP won just two seats out of 42 in in the state and now the BJP party is making more effort to boost its performance in Odisha and West Bengal in 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
During addressing the rally, PM Modi said that “My government is your government, it is a government of farmers. Our government working to double farmer income by 2022,”

   Pm Modi further added that “from providing quality seeds to creating marketing opportunities, our govt worked for farmers; important to have proper warehouses to save produce.”
West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh said.
“The prime minister’s rally in Midnapore proves that Bengal is one of our top priority states in the Lok Sabha poll,”
Dilip Ghosh further added that
“We want to felicitate Prime Minister Modiji for his decision to increase the MSP,”

As per the state BJP sources, the party is putting some special efforts on the tribal Jungalmahal area where the party won sizeable seats in the last panchayat polls and the Midnapore district is part of the Jangalmahal area.
