Ever Wondered Which Is The Oldest Sacred Book In World?

India is a secular country with various communities of people living together in a peaceful environment. No one of them likes to hear anything against their religion or community and hence the right of speech can’t be taken into consideration while talking about religions as it is a very sensitive matter which could harm the peace of the country.

Every religion feels that their religious scriptures were written first. But do know which is the oldest holy book out of The Gita, The Bible and The Quran.

There was a large debate going on this matter but today we’re going to clarify the same. Bhagavadgita hails from 500BCE but Bhagavadgita isn’t an independent scripture. Chapters 25-42 of the 6th book of Mahabharata is compiled as Bhagavadgita. Mahabharata is written in 400BCE. Both Mahabharatha and Gita was written by Ved Vyas.

Some people believe that Bible has a history of 2000 years, which is wrong. Jesus was born about 2000years ago and not the Holy Bible. As per historical reference, the old testament is the oldest Bible and is 1500years old. The first 4 books of bible Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus and Numbers were written 450 BCE.

It states that Bible was there even before the birth of Jesus Christ. Both the Holy Bible and The Gita were approximately at the same time, a few years here and there.

Out of all the three, Quran is the newest and was written on 632CE. Islam and Christianity emerged from the ancient Jewish religion. Both have similar kind of stories but different named gods. The difference is that Christianity believes that Jesus is the son of god.

While Islam believes that he was a god’s messenger and say that Prophet Mohammed was the final messenger of God as he not indulged in Human relations. Even Buddhism is an older religion than Islam as it hails from 500BCE.
