Apollo Doctors Revealed The Facts Behind Jayalalitha’s Embalming Process And Hospital Bills
Former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J Jayalalithaa died at the age of 68 leaving a huge void in Tamil Nadu politics. After the funeral of Jayalalitha, there are several rumors circulating the death mystery of “AMMA.” Amidst of all the political conflicts in Chennai, Apollo hospitals decided to reveal Jayalalitha treatment reports and held a press meet in Chennai.
In a bid to dispel rumors surrounding Jayalalithaa’s health, Dr. Richard Beale, the U.K.-based intensivist, who was treating the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, on Monday, addressed a press conference in Chennai. In this press conference, Richard Beale clarified many doubts related to Jaya’s death.

After Jayalalitha Demise there are sources saying some fluids are injected into Jaya’s body to preserve her body. Embalming is preserving human remains by treating them (in its modern form with chemicals) to forestall decomposition. The intention is to keep them suitable for public display at a funeral, for religious reasons.

Jayalalitha Hospital Bill:
According to a Tamil Nadu government doctor, P. Balaji, the total hospital bill for treatment of Jayalalithaa was between Rs 5 crore and Rs 5.5 crore. Apollo Hospitals raised a bill of Rs 5.5 crore and it was been handed over to the family. “By family, we mean Ms. VK Sasikala,” said Dr. Balaji.
Doctors said her collapse was completely unexpected. They attempted to revive her for 20 minutes. “The CPR (process) went for 20 minutes but there was no heart rhythm,” said a doctor.
Jayalalithaa had come to the hospital with sepsis and was conscious, Dr. Beale told reporters adding that she had co-morbidities and uncontrolled diabetes. Sepsis is a life-threatening condition that arises when the body’s response to infection injures its own tissues and organs.
