Fan Touches Dhoni’s Feet When He Came On To Bat, Watch Video

It’s no doubt that Mahendra Singh Dhoni has a massive fan following all over the country. Starting from a fresh youngster with long hair to now emerging as the anchor of Team India, the Jharkhand wicketkeeper-batsman has always managed to win hearts. ‘Thala’ as Dhoni is lovingly called by Chennai Super Kings fans is respected and revered by cricket fans all over India and they never let go a chance to display thier love. Recent incident is the proof of it.

Even though Dhoni played for Pune when CSK was banned from IPL, still Dhoni and CSK are inseparable. The home ground of CSK has been shifted to Pune from Chennai because of the protests taking place in connection with Cauvery water dispute.
On Friday, during the Indian Premier League match between Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals- a Dhoni fan ran into the middle to touch his god’s feet.

The incident took place when Dhoni was coming in to bat after Suresh Raina’s wicket fell. The fan ran into the middle of and touched his feet. The fan was seen thanking the heavens after getting the chance to touch the feet of his god.

Chennai Super Kings dominated Rajasthan Royals as Shane Watson’s third IPL hundred and a combined bowling effort saw the southern side register a convincing 64-run win at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
The franchise organised a special train ‘WhistlePodu Express’ to take the fans for the match to Pune free of cost including free food and accommodation.

Dhoni said, “The people over here, they supported me when I played for Pune, so you could say that it was good that I could return the favor. Yes, it’s Chennai Super Kings and not Pune Super Kings, but by the end of the seventh game, we’ll see more yellow here.”
