In a horrific incident, a 48-year-old man was pushed off the third floor by his daughter and alleged boyfriend on Sunday in Noida. To save her lover, the girl allegedly pushed her father off the floor of the house. The man succumbed to his injuries.

The incident took place at Sector-27 of Noida on Sunday.

The victim was identified as Vishwanath Sahu. He was woken up by some noise around 4 in the morning. As the noise came from his daughter’s room, he went to her room and found his daughter with a man allegedly in a compromising position.

In no time, the boy and the father started fighting. The fight turned physical and during the scuffle, the woman and her lover accidentally pushed Vishwanath, who in turn, fell off the stairs from the third floor of the house.

His daughter jumped into the fight to save her 27-year-old boyfriend and the two beat up Vishwanath, leading to the fall, family members said. She rushed him to the district hospital from where he was referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi.

Vishwanath’s wife Gayatri filed a complaint against her daughter and her alleged lover with the Sector-20 police station in Noida. Police have arrested Pooja while her alleged lover, identified as Dharmendra, is on the run.

His daughter has been arrested, while her boyfriend is on the run, police said. Vishwanath Sahu, who later died of injuries he suffered in the fall.

“My father was pushed from the balcony of the third floor of the building and he fell into the space between our building and the one right next. My sister and Dharmendra immediately fled the spot. We suspect her involvement too because even she did not stay back to check my father’s condition,” Vishwanath’s son Sanjay said.

“He would always dilly-dally when it came to marriage. At times, he would say that his mother was unwell and make different excuses,” said Sanjay. Based on Gayatri’s complaint, an FIR has been lodged against Vishwanath’s daughter and Dharmendra under Section 304A of IPC (death by negligence).
