Former Police Officer Booked In Aurangabad After His Wife Committed Suicide
A former police officer was booked after his wife committed suicide in Aurangabad, the cop is booked on the charges of domestic violence and abetment to suicide.
45-year-old Gauri Gautam Tamboli, the wife of the police officer was married to the cop in 2007.
The mother of Gauri registered a complaint at the Kranti Chowk Police Station.
On April 20, the mother of Gauri went to the police station and registered a complaint and said that Gauri was physically and mentally harassed by her husband.
The police said that on Thursday morning, Gauri returned home after she dropped her kids off for a summer camp.
A police officer from the Kranti Chowk Police Station said, “Later she reportedly went to her room and hanged herself. It was around noon, when her husband who was present in the house called her, but she did not respond. Following this he went to check on her and found her hanging. He informed the police and a team was sent to the spot. The body to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where she was declared brought dead.”
The Kranti Chowk Police Station has confirmed the incident and added that they are yet to arrest the former police officer.
