Girl Dies In Tamil Nadu College In Fire Drill, Trainer Arrested
At a Private college in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore, A horrible fire drill has been conducted, A 19-year-old girl died when she was pushed off a ledge on a second floor by a trainer.
On Thursday, In Kalaimagal College of Arts and Science in Tamil Nadu, A drill had been conducted on a disaster preparedness training, when the fire breaks out, what things can be done.
In a video which has gone viral, it has been shown that a 19-year-old Logeswari is sitting on a ledge on the second floor and there were 11 other waiting below with a safety net to catch Logeswari when she jumps from the second floor.
As according to the video, it has shown that, Logeswari was not ready to jump as the trainer standing behind her pushed her to jump onto the second floor.
Regrettably, Logeswari’s head hit the sunshade on the first floor before falling into the safety net. After that, her classmates took her to the hospital for treatment where doctors declared her dead.
Other Students Too Had Participated In The Drill
when the incident happened many students of the college had participated in the drill and taken turns jumping from the second floor and landed in the safety net as part of the fire drill. As per the report, around 20 students had participated in the training.
According to the investigating official
“A group from Chennai was conducting the training. They have done the same drill in several other colleges for the past five years. Several of them did it before she and nothing happened to them. This was an accident,”
Apart from this, a case has been filed against the trainer under the section 304(a) for causing death by negligence. the trainer that was identified as Tr Arumugam had been remanded in police custody.
