Gmail for iOS getting high-priority notifications
Most popular Google’s Email service has rolled out a new feature for iOS user that will send notification for high-priority emails only. iOS users will take advantage of this smart service by Gmail, as only the important Email will reach iOS users Gmail.
Leveraging machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities which are the new feature in the Gmail will help you to get rid of alerts from spam emails and some random newsletters as well, and the latest update will be rolled out in the few next days as a server-side change. It will also reach on Android devices in the upcoming days. Especially, Google disclosed the development of its advanced feature alongside detailing the improved Gmail experience back in April. The company at that time also particularized a shortcut to let users easily unsubscribe from unwanted newsletters using Gmail’s AI algorithms. This Modern feature takes advantage of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to recognize messages that the user would want to read first. It will be available in the next two to three days for iOS users. While the upgraded notifications option will only show up for people who upgrade to the latest Gmail version on their iOS device.“Notifications are only valuable if you have time to read them—and if you’re being notified hundreds of times a day, chances are, you don’t. just because we’re introducing a feature which alerts users only when important emails reach in their Gmail inbox, so you know when your attention is really required,” reads a Google blog post. Gmail iOS app users need to select “important Emails only” from the Notifications drop-down in the settings menu to enable the feature.
In April, Google modernizes Gmail with new features like Confidential mode, Smart replies, smart compose and new securities as well. There were many notifications that were introduced and were listed to roll out in the upcoming weeks. The main aim of this feature is to remove interruptions and messy things from your account. This kind of Artificial intelligence in Gmail will also recommend users the situation when they should unsubscribe from mailing lists based on cues which shows about how many emails the user receives from a sender and how many of them were actually read by the user.
Being a server-side change, Google says “that the new feature will be rolled out in the next one to three days time and You, however, need to have the latest Gmail version on your iOS device to get the upgraded notifications experience”.
