Here’s How A Restaurant In Raipur Is Doing Its Bit For The Indian Army
Humanity is a virtue we are all born with but those who chose to actually make use of it, are the real heroes. The social media saw an outpouring of grief when 18 soldiers were martyred during a terror attack at an army camp in Uri town of Kashmir.
Especially after the Uri attacks, the entire country and presumably the world has come together in helping the people who lost their sons in any way possible. Some have even gone beyond armchair activism to show their appreciation for the country’s jawans.
A special discount for soldiers and families of martyrs at the Neelkanth Restaurant in Raipur is one such initiative that has gone viral.
According to a post found on Reddit, this restaurant on the railway station of Raipur in Chattisgarh has special discounts for people in the Army and their families.
This is what the board outside the Neelkanth restaurant at Raipur railway station reads:
A poster put up by the restaurant has been doing social media rounds for the last few days and says ‘Rashtrahit Sarvapratham‘ (national interest is foremost) at the top.
Thankfully, there are some who understand the value and sacrifice of our men in uniform. There is nothing better than appreciation where it’s due, and this restaurant in its own small way, is showing it.
Being near the station is good business for a restaurant. But that a restaurant is offering a discount for the men in uniform is something others can take note of.
And read the third point, which offers free food to the parents of the martyrs. That’s touching.
It’s not about giving a monetary discount. It’s about showing respect and doing whatever you can, for the people who put their life at stake for protecting us.
Neelkanth Resturant, apart from our brave soldiers, we salute you too. Hope this will motivate others to do whatever they can. Even a squirrel’s share means a lot!
