Jammu And Kashmir: 6 People Were Killed After A Vehicle Fell In A Gorge
The police said that 6 people were killed after a vehicle fell in a deep gorge in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir. The accident happened on Sunday, the police added that 4 people who got killed were relatives, and one woman is critically injured.
The accident took place at Ujhan-Dhandkote near Darhal on Sunday midnight when the driver of the privately owned vehicle lost control, they were on their way to Sabzi Village.
The police said that the residents of the area rescued the people when they were informed about the incident, they were joined by doctors, the police, and paramedics later on.
The officials found 4 people dead in the gorge and rescued 3 others who attained life-threatening injuries. The police added that 2 of the injured passed away after they were rescued.
The dead people have been identified as 60-year-old Mohammad Hussain, 55-year-old Resham Bi, 30-year-old Shoukat Ali, 50-year-old Mohammad Bashir, 35-year-old Mohammad Shabir, and 50-year-old Muneer Hussain.
30-year-old Pervaiz Akhtar was severely injured, he was referred to a hospital so he could get specialized treatment.
The police said that the rescue operation went on until 3:30 AM.
The family hired the vehicle in Rajouri after they were returning from Jammu, Resham Bi the wife of Mohammad Hussain was undergoing treatment there.
