On Thursday Satya Pal Malik the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir says he feels pain even if a terrorist dies, he also said that the terrorists in the state should stop violence and return to a normal life.

Governor Satya Pal Malik also gave credit to security forces of the state, he said that he is proud of what the state police has done in order to limit the terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

Governor Satya Pal Malik added that the administration was in the process of creating a new package for the rehabilitation of the terrorists present in his state.

Governor Satya Pal Malik said: “The Police are performing its duty in the best possible way. But even if a terrorist loses his life, I feel pained… They all should come back (to the mainstream)”

He added: “When I took over as the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, I tried to give them (security forces) the best possible facilities. I have seen they conduct their operations in tough situations and heavy snow. It’s a difficult task.”

Governor Malik also said that the police are doing a great job, they protect us while we are sleeping during night time and they even conduct operations till early in the morning.

He even addressed the 9th Sat Paul Sahni memorial lecture on the topic of ‘ethics and the media: yesterday, today and tomorrow” that was organized by the IIPA (Indian Institute of Public Administration).

Governor Malik was the chief guest in the University of Jammu.

Governor Satya Pal Malik believed that democracy is rooted deep within the Indian Society, this allows us to thrive on the democratic principles and give the real power to all the common men.
