Caught On Camera: Jealous Aunt Throws Infant Off Hospital Roof In Kanpur
In a shocking CCTV Footage, an 18-day-old baby boy was thrown off the roof of a hospital building in Kanpur. The baby boy’s jealous aunt had allegedly thrown him early on Monday morning.
The jealous aunt was identified as Sarita Devi, who had thrown the baby born of her sister-in-law Alka from the first floor of the hospital building. She was later arrested after watching the CCTV footage. The accused was the mother of three daughters stated that she did this out of ‘jealousy’ as she had no son.
“The baby boy Anmol was admitted to Shyam Maternity and Children’s Hospital in Indira Nagar, Kalyanpur a few days ago for septicaemia. Owing to some important work, his father, Sarvesh Kumar of Tirwa Kannauj, and mother Alka had gone to their native village, leaving the boy under the care of his aunt Sarita Devi,” the police said.

Around 5 am, Sarita started shouting that the child was missing from the paediatric ward of the hospital. The hospital authorities immediately informed the police about the incident. The police started the search operation. They heard cries of a baby coming from the adjacent building of the hospital.
Having a closer look, the police found the baby boy entangled in an iron grill. The boy was soon brought out and his condition is said to be critical as he cannot breathe. A big danger was escaped that the boy didn’t fell on the ground. Thus, the hospital authorities lodged a complaint regarding the incident.
In the further police investigation, it was found in the CCTV footage the boy’s aunt had thrown the baby from the roof. She was arrested.
