Karnataka Government Proposes Six Inter-Linked Elevated Corridors
One of the most populated city Bengaluru has taken a move to address traffic. Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy today proposed six interconnected elevated corridors. The movement was taken in the state budget construction at the cost of Rs 15,825 crore.
The proposal made by the chief minister was the move to address the traffic of Bengaluru. The budget for making this interconnected elevated corridors is Rs 15,825 crore. The project was expected to be summed up in the next four years. The budget also proposes to establish 100 charging units.
The idea of establishing these 100 charging units is to encourage the use of electric vehicles. Along with this the proposal to buy 80 electric buses for public transport also be put on state budget construction.
Statement of Kumaraswamy
Kumaraswamy who is the Finance minister said while presenting the budget in the state assembly, Bengaluru transport system has not grown on par with its development.
For the development of state transport, it is proposed to construct the six interconnected elevated corridors. The construction is made under hybrid annuity to provide excellent transport communication.
The scheme which was proposed by the minister will be taken up through a hybrid annuity. Through Karnataka road development corporation. Rs 1000 crore has earmarked for the project for this year.
The chief minister also reveals their plans for the Bengaluru metro rail project. He said the study of the new schemes of the 2018-19 budget understage 3 of Namma Metro. He spoke very soon we start 95 km long routes for the metro rail.
Apart from this Rs 50 crores has been provided for the renovation of the Bellandur lake. The action for delivering water in the lake also been made with a partnership with Antharaganga Micro Irrigation Corporation Ltd. The action has been taken to provide the water of lake for the agriculture use.
The budget also stated that the 65 km long ring road to construct by the government. Expected budget for the construction of this ring road is Rs 11,950 crore.
The construction budget of 2018 for Bengaluru was proved to be a bane for the people who faced traffic crises in the city.
