Arvind Kejriwal Slams Modi For Letting His Mother Stand In Queue To Exchange Currency, And Gets Royally Trolled

Common citizens standing in Lengthy lines for hours to exchange currency notes in front of banks after Modi’s decision. No one is exempted from this, even the mother of Prime Minister of India. Modi’s 96-year-old mother, Heeraben Modi, stood in the queue to get her currency notes exchanged.

New Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday has slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for letting his 97-year-old mother Hiraba stand in the queue to exchange currency notes.

Coming in a wheelchair with her relatives, Hirabai won the Internet with her gesture. Though there were some who saw it as a ‘PR exercise’, most people praised her for supporting her son’s decision.

Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi saying, It is not right on Modiji’s part to make his mother stand in a queue just for politics. If need be, I would stand in the queue but wouldn’t let my mother stand.”
