Police Report: 1000 Kilograms of explosives were seized by police officials from a car in the Chitpur area of Kolkata.

The police got a tip-off about the explosives which helped them intercept a vehicle near the Tala Bridge on BT Road on Saturday Morning, the vehicle had 27 sacks that contained around 1000 kilograms of potassium nitrate.

Potassium Nitrate is one of the key ingredients in making improvised explosives. 2 men, the helper and the driver of the car were arrested by the police.

Reports show that the vehicle was traveling from Odisha and was going to the district of Parganas. The police are currently interrogating the 2 men and are trying to know more about what they were going to do with the Explosives.
