From past few days, Twitter was been flagged as the coin flipped by hackers. The random hacks of the big shots like Vijay Mallya, Barkha Dutt, and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is quite notable.

The mischievous and hilarious tweets from the official accounts have filled showered the rain of fun for netizens. Despite the alleged entrance into the accounts of those big shots, they boldly disclosed the personal details of a bankrupted businessman like Vijay Mallya.

The genius’ behind this game are a hackers’ group called ‘Legion’ who have been ruling social media for quite some time now and boy we must say, we have already fallen for their quality and intellectual humor.

The most interesting thing about this hackers is that they reside in foreign countries– the United States, Canada, Thailand, Sweden, and Romania, according to the Delhi police’s cyber crime cell. If you closely notice, these hackers leave their email id, [email protected], urging other hackers to join them.

Just like this ‘Legion’, earlier there was a hackers group from the mid-1980s named , LoD (Legion of Doom). Similar to Legion, LoD also targeted rich and famous people’s email accounts. However, LoD was inactive since the 2000s.

Contrary to the current day class of cyber security system, Legion successfully ran parallel and tackled the suspects’ twitter accounts, they claim themselves as the ‘Cyber Vigilante’ who solely aims to expose the corruptive activities carried by the popular people. However, their game is still very hard for people to decipher.

Although they made their mentions at the end of every tweet urging to join them, they don’t simply use Chrome or Internet explorer, as they can be easily tackled.

Just in case you are wondering how they spread their network, reportedly, Legion communicates through email servers and browsers, which are secured against surveillance. They apparently use a browser called The Onion Router (TOR) that’s difficult to track. If you are technologically sound, you might have heard of Darknet as well.

Fighting the odd claims of levels of technology, Legion has definitely set its mark by intruding into the most prominent peoples’ accounts, people are now quite curiously waiting for their next messages through an another hacked account.
