In a brutal incident that took place in a temple in Kolar in Karnataka, a woman was attacked repeatedly with a machete by a man on Sunday.

The whole incident was caught on CCTV that shows the man attacking the woman from her back. He suddenly entered the room and struck the woman from behind and stabbed her several times with the machete.

As soon as the man started beating her, she started running away from him who is continuously smacking her. The woman was identified as Kumari, Administrator of Kotilingeshwari temple in Kolar. The attacker was soon restrained by other temple authorities.

The victim was afflicting deep wounds on her head and deep cuts to her arms.

The attacker has been identified as Santhosh, a 24-year-old engineer, who lives in the same village as Kumari. Though the motive behind the attack is yet to be known, The Police are thinking the attack would be due to family rivalries. Police have arrested Santhosh and started the investigation.
