A Man Has Been Calling Pakistan’s Control Room And Shouting ‘Jai Hind’ From 3 AM Everyday
Being the neighboring countries, India and Pakistan share a very complex relationship. Right from the day of the partition, our bonding turned grey with times, but, the parts of it always remained gentle and good. Be it Cricket or Bollywood, there are a plethora of things that connect us despite the language and religious differences we share. Just like the shady things, we even share the bright side of everything being the neighbors.
However, this recent incident that took place in Pakistan remains on greyish side. Coming to the story, Islamabad Police today charged a file sheet against an unidentified person they said is Indian, for making frequent phone calls to their control room and asking them to raise ‘Jai Hind’ slogans.
Sources further stated that the caller flooded the phone-lines of the Police control room since December 25 and he is even demanding to get in touch with the senior police officials.
Surprisingly, he even issued threats to those senior cops who took his call. Despite the confusion his language led, they were obviously offended with him constantly chanting ”Jai Hind’ on the phone call, this made them realize that he is an Indian. After the series of serious questions, he later confirmed that his name is “Zashe”.
“The calls started coming in around 3:30 in the morning. The caller wanted to speak to the Inspector General of Police and the Deputy Inspector General. When his requests were turned down, he intimidated us with objectionable language”, said sub-inspector Shabbir Ahmed.
Ahmed added, “He told us to raise ‘Jai Hind’ slogans”.
The problem should have been sorted out long back, but it the dysfunctional caller line identification that left the officers-in-charge in dilemma. The other details of the calls were found out after the authorities took the help of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) who cleared the air concluding that the calls were coming from India.
