Man from Afghanistan arrested after Trying to Smuggle 32 Kilograms of Gold inside Fruit Consignmentt
On Thursday, the Customs Department arrested a man from Afghanistan and seized 32.65 kilograms of gold from him after he tried to smuggle it inside a fruit consignment.
Dipak Kumar Gupta the commissioner of customs department said that the weight of the gold was 32.65 kilograms and was seized from Adel Saeed Ghulam a man from Afghanistan.
Dipak Kumar Gupta said that the gold was placed inside a concealed apple consignment, he added that it was seized at the ICP (Integrated Check Post) of Attari.
Dipak Kumar Gupta added that Adel Saeed Ghulam has been arrested under the Customs Act, 1962.
