After Traffic Cop Many Indians Offer Kidneys To Ailing Minister Sushma Swaraj
Sushma Swaraj has been one of the most loved Minister of External Affairs that India has ever had. She has always been active on social media, promptly responding to citizens’ queries and concerns, and frequently going above and beyond to help those in need.
But today, Ms Swaraj is the one in need of our support and well-wishes. The foreign minister, who has stayed out of the limelight since her speech at the UN against Pakistan, had been admitted to AIIMS in the national capital for tests some time back.
The 64-year-old BJP leader shared that she has been on dialysis at AIIMS after suffering from a kidney failure. She also shared the possibility of a kidney transplant as she was undergoing a few tests for the same.

Soon after the tweets were posted, Indian Twitter was overwhelmed with tweets wishing Ms Swaraj a speedy recovery. good wishes for her speedy recovery poured in from all quarters.
But, a day after External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj tweeted about her kidney failure, a traffic constable of Madhya Pradesh offered to donate one of his kidneys to her.

The 26-year-old constable Gaurav Singh Dangi said,
“I wish to donate one of my kidneys to Sushmaji. I am impressed by her work. She is our External Affairs Minister and a good leader. Therefore, I have decided to donate my kidney to her and also made an offer through Twitter,” he said.
Swaraj who is still undergoing dialysis said she was thankful for all the well-wishers.
Social media users responded quickly by offering to donate their own kidneys to Ms Swaraj, with some providing their personal phone numbers.
Khemraj Sharma, a 24-year-old engineer from Jammu, who had left his phone number along with an offer to donate his kidney.
“I am a very healthy person and so I can offer my kidney to Sushmaji,” he said.
“She has done so much for Indians stranded in foreign countries and the first foreign minister who is doing so much for Indians abroad. She even opens her ministry on Sundays to work for Indians. This is why I have done it.”
She tweeted: “I have no words to express my deep sense of gratitude towards them.”

She was admitted to AIIMS on November 7 and is being monitored by a team of doctors. She has been suffering from diabetes for almost 20 years.
As per sources quoted by PTI,
“Her condition is stable. Her history of chronic diabetes has affected her kidney functioning. She is on dialysis.”
We wish Sushma Swaraj a speedy recovery and hope that she continues to serve our country for years to come.
