MS Dhoni Runs All The Way To The Boundary To Save Two Runs

His age is 36. So what? That’s just a number in his case. He is one of the fittest players of modern cricket. Yes we are talking about none other than Two time world cup winning captain MS “Thala” Dhoni. He once again reminded why he is one of the fittest player even at the age of 36.
With wicket-keeping pads and gloves on, he ran all the way to the boundry to save two runs for his team. It happened during the third over of RCB’s innings when a top edge on the pull from De kock went straight over Dhoni’s head. MS Dhoni ran and prevented RCB from getting a boundary by flicking the ball back in the nick of time. He displayed supreme athleticism and commitment to his team.
Fifties from AB de Villiers and Quinton de Kock were overshadowed by Ambati Rayudu and MS Dhoni as Chennai Super Kings powered to the top of the table by hunting down a target of 206 with five wickets in hand and two deliveries to spare. With their third win in a row, Chennai move to the top of the points table as Bangalore remain in the bottom half at sixth position.

Earlier, after asking RCB to bat first Super Kings survived an AB de Villiers onslaught to recover and chase just a little over 200 – it could’ve been much more.

Then they slipped to 74 for 4 in nine overs, before coming back with blazing 101-run stand between Dhoni and Rayudu. Dwayne Bravo, then set it up for Dhoni to complete a win in his signature style – a six over long-on.

Ambati Rayudu score a fluent 82 even though wickets were falling around him. Then MS Dhoni joined him and scored an unbeaten 72 of 34 balls.
