In a gruesome and shocking incident, a 21 year old mumbaikar, stabbed continuously his friend aged around 18, resulting in death on Thursday. The reason why he did that to his friend? He, as alleged, was speaking to him in English language. According to a report, the 21 year old ‘friend’ directly slit the throat of the 18 year old and then stabbed him without any mercy not less than 54 times. The main reason he cited was that he got angry with him over speaking in English language. The accused took this approach of English speaking to be an attempt by the victim to belittle him for his poor education. The accused is identified as Mohammed Amir Abdul Wahid Rahin. After committing the gruesome crime, he walked straight to the nearby Shahu Nagar police station and confessed over the murder in front of police.

The timing of the accused reporting at the police station, as reported by the station officers, was around 1 am. He frankly confessed to the crime and took the officials to an isolated place near Raheja bridge in Mahim where the body was present. After preliminary inquiry, he told the police that he was not able to bear the humiliation he felt due to Shaikhs’ (Victim) constant antics of demeaning him and he had already planned to murder him this week. Rahin further claimed in front of police, that he was waiting for a right time and location.

At first he pretended to be treating Shaikh with a drink, he took him to Bandra on Wednesday and both bought a bottle of beer each. The accused then went after him towards the toilet near the place where they were drinking and here it was that he murdered him by slitting his throat.

After committing the crime, as he went on to describe the incident, Shaikh fell to the ground and then Rahin begin to stab him as many as 54 times and ensured that he was dead. Shaikhs body in fact had the marks that convey the exact story by the accused. His throat was cut and stomach was stabbed many times. He was declared dead when he was taken to the Sion Hospital.

The dead person’s brother told that Shaikh had come from his native place called as Madhubani some two years back and was preparing to appear for SSC exams. Though he filled forms for the examination, he was not able to appear in any one of them.

Police are trying to get more details to be able to book cases pertaining to the gruesome incident. After which the accused will have to appear in court for a verdict to be passed for his crime as he is an adult and not a juvenile.
