Muslim Workers Were Forced To Do Sit-Ups As Punishment After They Refused To Donate Ganesh Funds In Pune

In a rude act, Muslim workers were forced to do sit-ups for not offering Rs.100 for Ganapati Events in Pune. As the Hindu festival Ganesh Chaturthi and Ganesh Navratri’s will be started on September 5, people stepped out to collect money and funds to celebrate the festival grandly.

In the same way, a group of people went out the streets of Pune to collect money for Ganesh festival. Few Muslim workers weren’t interested in offering or giving money to them and they disagreed to offer. As a result, the members of Ganesh Mandal publicly humiliated the Muslim workers and made them perform sit-ups as punishment.

This whole act was recorded and uploaded on the Internet.

The incident took place at Crown Bakers on the Bhosari-Alandi Road in Pimpri-Chinchwad. The workers left Pune after being humiliated and went back to their home in Uttar Pradesh. Hence, Police said that the video shows the workers doing sit-ups and they were ordered to say sorry repeatedly.

Assistant Police Inspector, Mahesh Swamy, said: “We have booked three members of the Ganesh Mandal but haven’t yet arrested them. The offence is bailable. A notice has been issued to the three to be present in court on Monday to secure bail.”
