Will Central Government Ban The New Rs 2000 Note In Coming Years? Rumors Claim This As True!
The demonetization initiative by PM Modi has received mixed reactions from the citizens of India. People are still suffering to withdraw money from banks as well as ATMs. Many ATMs display NO CASH boards, and banks are running out of cash.
While struggles to get new notes is on one side, there are rumors going viral all over the country about new 2000 notes. No, it’s not about microchip and fake notes. It is about “NEW 2000 NOTE BAN” by the central government. Here is the detailed information you should know about rumors circulating around new 2000 note.

In an interview, RSS ideologue, journalist, and chartered accountant S Gurumurthy said the new Rs 2000 notes may be phased out of the system in the next five years. Sharing his view on the issue, Gurumurthy said that Rs 2000 is “only a bridge” as the government had to bring it in place of the old Rs 1000 notes for the time being. The Rs 2000 notes will be phased out in the next 4-5 years.
Gurmurthy said: “The notes would be gradually replaced by the currency notes of lower denomination and not declared illegal as it has been done in the case of old Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes”.
If the rumor is to be believed the newly printed Rs 2000 notes will be banned again in coming years, which may make it more difficult for the common man again.
Gurumurthy is a key member of the RSS-backed Vivekananda India Foundation. Besides, the seniors in the Narendra Modi government have been closely consulting him while deciding on how to deal with demonetisation.
Meanwhile, there are some rumors in circulation about new 1000 note. Whereas RBI in it’s official press release gave a detailed clarification about printing new 1000 notes. RBI confirmed that they are not printing new 1000 notes as per the circulations going around.
