There is no Dettol (an antiseptic liquid) in any of the Dettol Products. Dettol is one of the best antiseptic liquid in India. The Dettol liquid is the only medicine we get in our minds when we get hurt. People buy this liquid and all other Dettol products just because it is said to be safe and reliable. But, they are wrong.

The main component in the antiseptic liquid is Chloroxylenol. But all other products of Dettol like soaps, sanitizers, floor cleaners and multi-use liquids smell the same as its antiseptic liquid. The interesting aspect is that no product has even one component in common.

Here are few products sold only because the name Dettol is attached to them. There is nothing common in these products except the characteristic smell that makes buyers buy for no logical reason.

All the products are as good as any other products but they have an upper hand in the market just because of few people who think they and their antiseptic liquid are safer, more trustworthy and just better than any other stuff that does the same thing.
