Notre Dame Repair Fund Gathered 1 Billion Euros In Just 2 Days, President Macron Vows To Rebuild The Notre Dame Cathedral In 5 Years
The repair for repairing the Notre Dame Cathedral, which was damaged recently, has gathered 1 Billion Euros from donations in just 2 days. The historic Christian building was partially damaged by a fire.
Stephane Ber, a person who helped launch the appeal said, “The billion-euro mark of donations was reached during the day.”
L’Oreal and LVMH, companies from France, have promised to donate millions of euros to help restore the Notre Dame Cathedral.
Billionare Francois-Henri Pinault and Bernard Arnault, the richest man in France has pledged to donate for the restoration.
Air France is willing to offer free flights to those experts who will be helping with the restoration and the renovation of the Notre Dame Cathedral.
Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, promised to rebuild the cathedral in 5 years.
President Emmanuel said, “We will rebuild Notre Dame even more beautifully and I want it to be completed in five years, we can do it.
He added, “It is up to us to change this disaster into an opportunity to come together, having deeply reflected on what we have been and what we have to be and become better than we are. It is up to us to find the thread of our national project.”
The President also warned everyone, he said, “Let us not fall into the trap of haste.”
