Fire Service Report: On Sunday afternoon, a 21-year-old Engineering Student drowned in Odisha’s Kuakhai River.

The 21-year-old engineering student has been identified as M Khatua, he was in his final year in a private run engineering college.

The Fire Department said that the accident happened in Bankuala a place in the outer part of the capital state, 21-year-old M Khatua was with his friends who were taking a bath in the river.

The friends of 21-year-old M Khatua did their best to pull him out of the river but failed.

The floating body was rescued by the personnel of the fire department and other local divers.

21-year-old M Khatua was rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared as dead when he reached there.
