Officials seize 78 bombs in West-Bengal and arrest 8 people
Authorities seized 78 bombs in West Bengal and arrested 8 people in total, the bombs were seized from North 24 Parganas and Paschim Bardhaman.
The police seized 69 bombs from Bhatpara, North 24 Parganas District and 18 bombs from Kandeswar in Durgapur City of Paschim Bardhaman. The police arrested 8 people who are believed to be involved in the crime.
The police commissioner of Barrackpore, Manoj Kumar, said, “We recovered 60 bombs from Gali number 6 in Kankinara under Bhatpara police station.”
The commissioner added, “We have arrested eight people and further investigation is underway.”
The bomb squad of West-Bengal has destroyed 18 bombs at an area that is located in Durgapur City.
The bombs were seized after two people were killed on Thursday after clashes broke out between the Trinamool Congress and the BJP.
