On CCTV, Woman On Bike Dies After Hitting Pothole Near Mumbai
On Saturday, an accident took place in Kalyan near Mumbai of Maharashtra’s Thane district due to the heavy rain that led to the death of 40-year-old women. When the pillion rider was crushed by a speeding private bus and because of heavy rain, she fell off the bike that hit a pothole in Kalyan near Mumbai.
The whole incident of women death was captured at Shivaji Chowk on Saturday by the CCTV camera of a nearby shop.
once again it unmasked the poor state of infrastructure in Mumbai and created the worst situation by rain every year.
and police officer confirming the death news of women said that the bus driver escaped from the spot, it has been identified by police.
P Londhe, a senior police inspector at Mahatma Phule police station said in a statement that ”the driver lost balance while trying to avoid a deep pothole on a waterlogged road. The two-wheeler can be seen slipping in the CCTV footage as it goes over a pothole and both the rider and pillion fall to their right”.

“Bhoir was taken to a hospital but she was declared brought dead. A case was registered against the bus driver under relevant sections of the IPC (Indian Penal Code) and motor vehicle act. We have got the number of the bus and very soon we will arrest him,”
When the women met with this painful accident, who is identified by the name as Manisha Bhoir, a civic school peon, was going to home on a bike. Manisha Bhoir seated back to the rider on bike and bike being driven by her relative, her relative had come to pick up due to heavy rain and they met with the accident.
Because of continuous rain in Mumbai and its outlying districts, many roads were waterlogged and rail tracks submerged at some places. Kalyan and many areas in Thane were flooded.
According to the weather official record, since Saturday, it has been recorded more than 100mm rainfall, Of the 26 weather stations in Mumbai and its 14 suburbs.
