Now windsocks come in different colors like red, orange and in stripped patterns. Each color of the windsock designates a different meaning and is used to indicate a certain wind condition.

Orange Windsocks At The Airport:

The aviation and airport windsocks are of the highest quality and made of durable anti-fray and colour-fast material which will wear and age well. Orange windsocks are also used at the airports for ensuring better visibility, especially during windy or extremely foggy days when pilots may not be able to see their surroundings easily.

Many airports use a windsock at the midpoint of the runway to decide which runway to use and another present at the end of the runway to indicate to the pilot on approaching.

Why White And Orange ?

Orange and white windsocks are made to the same high standards we use on our standard solid orange socks. The alternating bright orange and vivid white make these windsocks extremely visible.
