Piaggio Vespa Notte 125 Price Announced Along With The Date Of Official Launch In August

The much-awaited Piaggio’s new special edition Vespa Notte 125 will soon be available for in India. Price for the special edition is tagged at Rs. 70,285 (Ex-Showroom price, Delhi). The first showcasing of this special product of Piaggio was done early this at the Auto Expo and was soon expected to be launched in our country in 2018 itself. The company is yet to announce officially the launch of the scooter, but dealers have already started to accept booking for the new Vespa Notte 125 for a small token of Rs. 5,000 and as per their expectations, the deliveries should start from the first week of August.

The special edition Vespa Notte 125’s design is inspired by the GTS Super Notte 125, which is considered Piaggio’s global line-up, despite the fact that the India-spec model will be based on the standard of 125cc Vespa scooter. The word Notte, an Italian word, translates into ‘Night’ and to make the product significant with its name, the scooter gets all-black treatment, starting from the matte black paint job, mirrors, alloy wheels and the seat arrangement among others. The Vespa Notte 125, in fact, visually is quite a bit different from the bright colored Vespa scooters that the company offers.

The vehicle ‘Vespa Notte 125’ will be powered by the tried and tested 125 cc, air-cooled engine that both the Vespa 125 and Aprilia SR 125 scooters in India has. The engine of the machine is tuned to give a maximum output of about 10 bhp and develops 10.6 Nm of peak torque, while mated a CVT transmission. The features list, on the other hand, will include the standard analogue console, tubeless tyres, and a revised seat among others.

At the offer price of Rs. 70,285 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Vespa Notte will be the only cheapest model in the Vespa line-up, a bit more Rs. 4,000 cheaper than the standard 125 cc Vespa. The scooter will take on other products in India with the likes of the TVS NTorq 125, Honda Grazia, and the new Suzuki Burgman Street 125.

Earlier, with a full swing of offers for bikes erupted in the market along with specially tailored loans with easy EMIs, people started buying bikes for being easily affordable. The middle class especially spent on these products. But later on, when the likes of Vespa started their modern editions, the market demand for such products grew and such companies started their own new editions time to time.
